The essentials

No point in offering all the perks in the world if some of the critical hygiene factors for employment aren't there. So let's take a look at our approach to the essentials.

Above-market salaries

The Directors at Dixon decided long ago to ensure that financial security was a basic part of our employee value proposition. Often in recruitment, remuneration is structured with a lower base salary and 'topped up' to meet the market with commissions and bonuses, meaning the insecurity of income plays a stressful role in many recruiter's day to day lives, impacting decision making and behaviour in a way we often did not respect.

So, when you work for Dixon, you are paid at the high end of the market salary for your experience as a base salary; NOT as an on target earnings projection.

Green, living office and ergonomic equipment

Dixon a carbon neutral business that also believes that your physical work environment impacts your mood and productivity. So we try to make our office an enjoyable, relaxing space that brings energy to you. Our office space is zoned with open planning for bouncing ideas and easy communication, complemented by private, quiet office spaces to move to when you need some focus time. It is filled with light and plants growing everywhere. Your adjustable desk includes a standing option and fully ergonomic equipment to ensure comfort and your wellbeing while you work.

Health and wellbeing program

Your health and wellbeing is paramount to Dixon. Success at the cost of our most valuable asset - YOU - is not success at all.
  • Access to standing desks and ergonomic equipment
  • $200 annual wellbeing subsidy reimbursed for your individual wellbeing priorities
  • Annual flu vaccinations
  • Subsidised health and wellbeing apps
  • Flexible work options - hours, remote work, wellbeing appointments
  • Healthy breakfast and fruit supplied
  • Onsite shower facilities - making it easy to cycle or walk to work

Genuinely inclusive environment - Zero tolerance for bullying and harassment

Dixon boasts a locally owned, female-led structure, not a publicly listed, international conglomerate accountable for its stock performance before anything else. This means our culture of inclusion and respect for all stakeholders is reinforced directly by the leadership team who are committed to people before profit.

Quality assured, comprehensive standard operating procedures

Dixon is committed to high quality services and continuous improvement. For this reason, the business is undertakes regular audits to maintain a quality accreditation with SAI Global to ensure our processes are comprehensively documented and executed at an internationally recognised standard of quality.

Structure for leadership and mentoring

Dixon has a fairly flat organisational hierarchy, recognising that all of the individuals we are lucky enough to work with bring different expertise and skills to the larger team. However, there is a formal structure in pace that supports leadership and learning to ensure our team is always developing their professional expertise and learning on the job. This is further supported by formal internal and external training.

Social and team building functions

Teams that play together stay together. It may be cliche, but it's also true. The team at Dixon genuinely like each other and enjoy spending time together in the form of quarterly social functions and team building events. Our functions are pretty diverse; from conferences to picnics, or from end of week afternoon drinks to mini golf; our events are decided and managed by the team which means you get to choose your own adventure using a social budget Dixon provides.

Structured, formal training program

Dixon Academy includes a 12 week onboarding program to support your success and ensure your onboarding experience is positive. This is further supported by periodic training and case studies and external professional development opportunities that the team can opt in to.
