The Organisation:

This department helps foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for people living with a disability, medical or, mental health condition by providing support services to students in vocational education and undergraduate to postgraduate study.

The Role:

The role of EAW is to provide unobtrusive support to students and assist with their learning goals while facilitating independence and self-determination. Shifts range from supporting students one on one to providing support for a group of up to four students. The EAW assists in the delivery of quality customer service to students.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support by taking notes during lectures, classes, or tutorials
• Support students to use online learning platforms and access content
• Provide academic assistance by breaking down tasks and explaining new concepts
• Work with individual students to implement strategies and improve the quality of service
• General administration within online learning platforms

Skills and Experience:

• Proven ability to work effectively with a wide range of clientele
• High level of written communication skills (spelling and grammar)
• Own laptop required for notetaking in classes
• Software proficiency with MS Teams, Zoom, Word, Excel
• Current Employee Working with Children's Check

Qualifications:

• Completed, studying or partial completion of Cert III/IV Disability, Individual Support, Educational Support, Teacher's aide
