This one is for you.
You know who you are. You are the hiring manager who responded to my candidate submission within the hour and had an interview booked before the afternoon was out. Not because you were under pressure, not because someone was chasing you, but because you understood that a good candidate is worth moving for.
You are the one who came to our briefing conversation ready to think, not just to talk. Who listened when I told you what the market was actually doing, even when it was not what you were hoping to hear. Who trusted my read on a candidate’s potential rather than running a checklist against a position description. Who asked about the candidate’s availability before you asked about their salary expectations, because you already understood that this process involves a person, not just a profile.

This work asks a lot of everyone involved. Candidates carry vulnerability into every process. Recruiters carry accountability on both sides.
