Dixon Appointments Announces New Structure to Accelerate Strategic Growth

As Dixon Appointments prepares for a significant period of growth, the business is pleased to announce a refreshed leadership and recruitment structure designed to enhance service delivery, empower team members and drive long-term strategic outcomes for new, and long-standing, clients and candidates.

Following Talentpath Recruitment taking a primary shareholding of Dixon Appointments in January of this year, Dixon has undertaken a considered internal restructure designed to drive sustained growth and ensure even deeper alignment with our clients’ strategic workforce needs.

The new model not only sharpens focus on service excellence, but also positions us to scale operations while preserving the tailored, people-first approach that has long defined our reputation in the Victorian recruitment market.

Strengthening Leadership for Long-Term Success

At the core of the updated structure is the formal recognition of Directors Lucy Ricanek, Kathryn FitzGerald, Jody Fazldeen and Dionne Sharp as Co-Owners and Directors. This quartet of leaders remains dedicated to guiding Dixon through its next chapter, balancing day-to-day operational delivery with a longer-term focus on capability building, client outcomes and sustained business growth.

Evolving Internal Roles to Match Client Demand

In addition to senior leadership changes, several internal promotions and title changes have been confirmed across the recruitment team, reflecting both individual achievements and the broader shift toward more strategic, consultative recruitment services.

  • Mirleen Chinnery has been appointed Principal Recruitment Partner, evolving from her previous role as Team Leader. Mirleen will continue to lead the Higher Education division and delivers senior and executive permanent recruitment.
  • Debbie Chester steps into the role of Principal Recruitment Partner, recognising her deep sector knowledge and standout delivery across major government, Higher Education and commercial accounts.
  • Merryn Cleland has been promoted to Recruitment Partner, reflecting her leadership on temporary recruitment solutions across Higher Education, including Swinburne University and University of Melbourne.
  • Sharon Casey has also been appointed Recruitment Partner, with continued responsibility for partnering with university clients to ensure agile, market-responsive recruitment solutions.
  • Nicole Brown, now Recruitment Partner, will lead recruitment solutions across state and commonwealth accounts in Government recruitment, supporting Dixon’s continued growth in the public sector.
  • Danielle Broadbent transitions into the role of Recruitment Projects Specialist, a title that acknowledges her specialised delivery of partial and fee-for-service recruitment projects, as well as high-volume roster and seasonal allocations.

“These changes mark a significant elevation in our business operations,” said FitzGerald.

“They create a structure that allows our team to scale their impact, while ensuring the right leadership is in place to support new and existing clients in a more agile and tailored way.”

A Platform for Strategic Growth

The structural update comes as Dixon sets its sights on ambitious growth over the next 24 months. With a strengthened leadership group, a refreshed operating model, and access to Talentpath’s national resources and networks, Dixon is poised to cement its position as a leading recruitment partner in the Victorian market.

“We’ve always competed with global players in our sector,” said FitzGerald.

“But with this structure, this team and a shared vision with Talentpath, we’re evolving into a true local powerhouse, capable of delivering high-touch, high-performance recruitment services at scale.”

Already, Dixon is seeing measurable improvements in client engagement and delivery outcomes, with Directors pointing to the positive impacts of increased internal autonomy and strategic role clarity.

Dixon Appointments will continue to share updates over the coming months as new team members join and new growth milestones are reached.
