Debbie Chester: Government Services

As a Senior Account Manager within our public sector division, Debbie Chester leads a team of consultants responsible for service delivery across all areas of government.  Since joining Dixon Appointments in 2001, Debbie has ensured her team have a sound understanding of government recruitment issues such as merit and equity and public sector employment policy.
Debbie’s ability to provide innovative solutions to complex business issues has ensured that our government clients and candidates are provided with the best options.  Debbie has over 20 years experience in recruiting and temporary staff services. This has seen her build and maintain a loyal network; her clients know that she gets the job done quickly and gets it done well.

Lucy Ricanek: Finance Manager

Prior to joining Dixon Appointments in 2008, Lucy worked across a variety of industry sectors where she consolidated her experience in accounting and finance.  This background has proven crucial to the successful management of a Finance team which must respond effectively to the needs of clients and candidates.
Lucy has a vision to be more accountable so that candidates and clients have a positive experience in their financial dealings with Dixon Appointments.  She is passionate about two key objectives for herself and the Finance team. Firstly, candidates must be paid accurately and on time.  Secondly, clients need to receive accurate and timely invoices.
Statutory, taxation and legal compliance are key issues within Dixon Appointments’ approach to business management, and Lucy’s knowledge in these areas ensures that the trust placed in Dixon Appointments is in safe hands.

Hilary Dixon: Managing Director

Before founding Dixon Appointments in 1998, Hilary spent 20 years in the recruitment industry gaining as much experience and knowledge as possible. This enabled the business now known as Dixon Appointments to find its way into the market place.
Hilary has nurtured and developed the team at Dixon Appointments and has overseen significant organic growth of the company through long-term, partnered client relationships. Hilary takes pride in these associations built through integrity, honesty and a commitment to hard work; values that are well entrenched in the business today.  A personalised culture, superior credibility and reputation in the marketplace all are a product of Hilary’s influence.

Kathryn FitzGerald: Commercial Services

Kathryn first joined Dixon Appointments in 2005 and currently leads the Commercial Consulting team.  The consultants in her team specialise in various industries, working with clients and candidates encompassing public sector, education, not-for-profit, health and private sector. With a background in contractor and relationship management at a national level, Kathryn is well able to identify business solutions for her clients.
Driven by a desire to achieve success for her clients, her team and Dixon Appointments, Kathryn’s strengths in strategic account management and project delivery benefit her clients by providing solutions they may not have previously considered.
Kathryn loves the fact that Dixon Appointments gives her the opportunity to add value at all stages of the engagement process.  She gets a kick out of taking recruitment problems and creating solutions for her clients.
Kathryn’s energy is evident and a positive influence on the Dixon team.  She is constantly on the go; she loves to renovate, participate in triathlons, entertain friends and is a very keen netballer.

Charlotte Garner: General Manager

Charlotte has been an integral part of Dixon Appointments for over five years. With overall responsibility for the management of our recruitment divisions, Charlotte’s commitment drives the success of the whole team.
Charlotte's extensive recruiting experience has taken her Australia-wide.  With more than 20 years in recruitment consulting, the diversity of her operational and technical experience includes supply of a broad range of staff across multiple skill levels.  Through her background of recruiting at almost every staffing level - from business support to executive - across Private and Public sectors, Charlotte has the commercial know-how to offer clients a wealth of experience. 
With a hands-on approach, Charlotte has the passion, experience and leadership qualities to ensure both her team and her clients achieve outstanding results.

James

James Muskett: Commercial Services

James began his career in recruitment while studying for a Bachelor of Marketing at Edith Cowan University, and found his passion for the industry was strong and immediate.  That first short-term role led him to seek a career in HR consulting.
Initially a specialist recruiter in Health Care, James quickly progressed to managing clients across three states, maintaining a database of allied health professionals and responding to a high volume of requests for public and private organisations.  James was always aware that the speed and efficiency of his response was important to his clients but also directly impacted on patient care.
In mid-2008 James made the move to Melbourne and joined Dixon Appointments, quickly managing the transition to commercial recruitment assisting clients in the tertiary, private and not-for-profit sectors. James is now a senior consultant in the Commercial Services team and has a reputation for his ability to assess key competencies and deliver of high quality recruitment services.

Dale Charleston

Qualifications and Current Role at Dixon Appointments

Dale currently specialises in providing services for permanent and contract placements.

Experience

Dale commenced his career as a Trainee in the IT industry, quickly moving to providing help desk support and Technical Support to more than 100 people - servicing their Computers, Printers and Other Peripherals. As his career progressed to the Senior Network Support Officer he was tasked with supervising and mentoring other Network Support team members along with undertaking project management and negotiation of various contracts.

Recruiting experience

In January 2007 Dale joined the recruitment industry working as a specialist recruiter for permanent and contract roles. During his time in recruitment, Dale has completed extensive training in recruitment and gained a valuable insight into public and private sector recruitment.

Adele

Adele Williams: Commercial Services

Prior to joining Dixon Appointments Adele had already gained extensive recruitment experience as a consultant with a Melbourne-based firm, where she had specialised in permanent staffing since joining them in early 2008.  Her prior work as an Events Manager equipped Adele to respond quickly and confidently to client demands; she understood that in a competitive environment only results would earn solid client loyalty. 
Convinced that recruitment was “what she does best” Adele joined Dixon Appointments in 2009, attracted by the extensive training and development program and with a sincere commitment to a long term career in recruitment.  As part of the permanent recruitment team Adele manages a diverse range of roles including corporate services, business support and communications, but she also enjoys working on more unusual roles in engineering and construction.
A strong commitment to customer focus, together with the drive to succeed, ensures that Adele’s clients and candidates have her full attention when they need her assistance.

Never one to back away from a challenge, Louise has become our resident expert in those “tricky to find” skill sets, sourcing candidates with rare skills or in remote locations. Her tenacity wins her points with clients and has lead to a rapid growth of her client base through referrals of new business.
With over four years experience in recruitment, Louise’s focus on service delivery adds value to both her candidates and clients. As our lead consultant for the Test Purchasing Assistant Program, Louise also recruits and trains 15- and 16-year-olds to work with Local Councils throughout Victoria.

Sally Joy

ACCOUNT MANAGER – GOVERNMENT SERVICES TEAM

Sally’s diverse experience in recruitment has provided her with the knowledge and experience to successfully manage one of our Government teams and provide the right solution for her clients.

Sally first joined Dixon Appointments in 1999 working within our Temporary Staff Division developing her skills recruiting for the Government sector. In 2002, she headed overseas to gain further recruitment experience in Ireland before returning to Dixon Appointments in 2005.

On returning to Australia Sally first completed a three month Quality Systems review project for Dixon Appointments before joining the Victorian Government as a Project Officer, gaining valuable experience and seeing life from the client's perspective.

Sally is a valued member of the Dixon team and admired for her ability to streamline processes and align them with our clients’ businesses. She has shown a strong commitment to our clients, candidates and colleagues in delivering leading recruitment services and advice across the employment lifecycle.

Sally's capacity to respond quickly and facilitate communication at all levels, coupled with a strong team approach and successful service delivery are great assets.

Aaron

Aaron Butcher: Government Services

Aaron Butcher joined Dixon's in 2009 following a successful career as a Recruitment Consultant with a major International Labour Hire firm.  Drawn to Dixon’s by the opportunity to work with public sector clients, the transition also offered Aaron the prospect of expanding his knowledge of general recruitment. 
Aaron’s background prior to recruitment has been rich and varied, including managing a prestige Queensland island resort and working as tour advisor for the US Military.  The foundations of Aaron’s success in working with clients come from his prior experience in facing and solving personnel and recruitment issues on a daily basis.  He has used these skills to recruit for roles in office support, project management, sales and communications, and information management.
Aaron’s capacity to liaise with clients and candidates at every level, a strong team approach and extensive recruitment experience are great assets.

Vicki D’Abico: Commercial Services

As a Senior Consultant in Dixon Appointments' Commercial Services Team, Vicki is responsible for filling permanent vacancies ranging from Policy and Project Management down to Administration and Reception.
Vicki joined Dixon Appointments in early 2007 and has provided her clients and candidates with exceptional service ever since. Her prior experience in finance and office support recruitment has enabled Vicki to bring to her work extensive knowledge of employment practice, commercial environments and organisational structures.
Vicki’s focus on building strong relationships with candidates and clients has ensured her success. Vicki consistently wins Dixon’s achievement awards for excellence in performance.
